New hair!

My hair is no longer black!! It's black with subtle highlights. The goal was to make it look dark brown..but we didn't put enough highlights in. Or dye them brown enough for that matter...but that's oK! Cause they're so pretty so in a month or so I'll go back and highlight the crap out of my hair and then the whole thing should look like an all over dark brown. Right? But I like them so much I dont know if I wanna give up my highlights! My friend Krista did them and gave me a way nice discount, she's awesome. One day I'll work in her salon...one day.

Oh yeah so i totally took a thousand pictures of it cause guess what, I haven't highlighted my hair since our wedding!! I've been looking forward to this for almost a year too. Anything different than black!

Actually here's a picture of it straight in the sun, you can see them more. They were supposed to be dark brown but she did it lighter... I suppose to make sure they stood out. But I really like them!

And any copper pieces just weren't toned enough so I'll do that later. See how the back is still pretty black? So in a month or so I get to do a whole new post! But I really like how everything turned out, I have a series of hair phases I need to go through to get lighter and this is a great starting out one.

*well Kent took some in the light and they look the same. But I'll put them up anyway cause I think this is the best day my hair has ever looked curled. Ofcourse when it doesn't matter and I'm messing around with it!

School sucks

School sucks

1) Math is my worst subject
2) I've always been slower at learning things
3) Taking math in summer block for my first time in college and first time having to think in that way in nearly 7 years was not the best idea
4)Despite how many clock hours I spend learning math (and there has been ALOT, pretty much I eat sleep and breath math), I bombed my test.
5) Test anxiety sucks. That was my first experience
6)I'm still learning even HOW to study.
7) SO thankful I took fitness as my other class, eeeeeasy! Except my fitness log (20 min a day 5x a wk) was quite neglected, but now I'm on a roll. Kent and I go jogging everyday.

So Kent has his top 10 of school sucks but I'll list his main experience in it. We both placed in to classes that were over our heads, and Kent didn't have a book for the first week. Leaving him 3 chapters behind. He's pulled several all nighters, enough to get caught up on the test. But he's still behind. I finally caught up *whew!*

Advice for summer? DONT GET BEHIND.

That being said, I'm super stoked to take fall classes and see what college is REALLY supposed to be like cause summer block is murder. m-u-r-d-e-r

But I am getting pretty tan (atleast my arms are) from doing homework outside and were beginning to eat a little bit healthier so I think I'm losing weight, horray! I tried on a skirt I wore when we all got married and although I got it snapped shut, I had a huge tummy flub hanging over the top. That put things in perspective, it was a weird experience.

Oh yeah, last night was officially the first night in weeks we watched tv. There comes a point where you just can't do math anymore. All the numbers in my life become algebraic equations, it's creepy and I think I'm frying my brain.

The end

Random Musings

1. First day of school! I only had one class, my pre al. Despite not writing down the right room number and then walking in to, sitting down and walking out of a 1010 class, it went well! I love my math teacher, I think 990 treats us like babies a little bit and I love it! We had a get to know you part and a tour of the math floor, where as Kent's class went straight in to teaching math. He's in 1010 :) It was fun going to school with Kent, and fun going to our own class. Monday we've got math and health so that'll be longer and feel like the day served more of a purpose. Well, if I get added in to Kent's health class. Cross our fingers that being in the same class as Kent will be fun. It sounds really fun, until we start fighting :)

2. Oh, I officially got in to Ballet, I wrote in the last post that I had to be added, which brings complete uncertaintly. So yay!!

3. I must say that I love animals. And I'm realizing that it is on a whole other level that it is for most people. I want a baby lion, and a duck, and a tucan, and a deer, and frogs, and another kitten. And that's just today. Oh and an owl!!

4. I also tried to find a more unique song from Michael Jackson to be the theme of this blog but you can't deny the goodness of this song.

5. I really want barbie pink lipstick

6. I hate the twizzlers commercial with the couple on a balcony that makes a twizzler grow in to a tree and they sing an I love you song. That song is the devil.

7. I LOVE the movie Across The Universe and I reeeally want to own it cause it's seriously my favorite movie besides Braveheart and Gone with the Wind. It has been years for a movie to get in my top 3. I have others that I could watch over and over again like Orange County and My Best Friends Wedding, but Across the Universe struck me in a way those couldn't. Probably because they're comedys.

8. I have nothing random left to say. But I kinda miss my nose ring.

Oh I guess I'll throw up a picture but it's already on facebook. I took it, I felt like Juno and I needed some kodak moments.

Schools for Fools

Well, I promised I wouldn't do a "here's our next plan" update until it actually happened. And well, were pretty much committed at this point, so I might as well officially announce that Kent and I have both decided to go back to school. Kent has been talking about going back to school for years now, and well, I'm going because why shouldn't I? We also recently decided to shoot for starting this summer, instead of fall. So our last week has been consumed with trying to decide which classes to take, and then finding out that everything is taken, leading us to desperate measures and emails to professors :) I'm excited to finally have structure in our life, and not feel like all we are is in a dead end job. What about hair you say? I LOVE hair, and I'm just waiting for my spot at Aveda. I've got the necessary connections, now someone just needs to leave. *edit: I received my state license a couple weeks ago so I am now an official hairstylist!

Now. As far what what we'll be studying in school, well Kent is about as wide eyed as any senior in highschool. I, on the other hand, had this ultra sound technician seed planted in my head with in seconds of hearing about it. It just clicked. Which is great, to just "know" what you want. That's why I spent ages 18-23 not attending college. (discluding hair) Unfortunetly nothing else has clicked as easy. The ultra sound program I heard about is a certificate program, with no financial aid, and in SLC, and comes with a huuuuge waiting list. AND pre reqs, and a dead line. So there's a radiology program through Weber State I'll take, and the ultra sound comes as part of a BA. So fine, I accept my fate. Now I've learned that I fell short of one class, to complelting the pre reqs in time. But all is well I suppose, now i dont have to rush and i can enjoy our student life once we make babies. Still, Kent finishing his BA the same year I get my associates in radiology seems pretty lame. But the most exciting thing about this?? I get to take BALLET. Hopefully in fall, if I can beg the teacher to fit me in. My mind has been consumed and will be consumed with Ballet until this point.

ps. our new ward rocks and we are going to be awesome members for once. Tithing, temple, callings and all.

Orem!

Were moving to Orem in 4 days! We found a place for rent in Chris' complex, which is 2 floors directly above them! I try to tell everyone that 3 floors is way up there but they don't believe me until they climb up all 4 stairways themselves and every thing looks really small. Moving should be interesting. And having a dog will be irritating :) But with this place, we pay just a little bit more and we get a ton more out of it. Orem is a city where no one allows pets and you either live in white trash duplexes with scary neighbors or student apartments with no laundrey hookups, for cheap rent. So the fact that we found this super nice place, granite countertops, jetted tubs, 3 bedrooms!!, and that they ALLOW pets, and it's really not much more than the small cramped ugly places we might have been lucky enough to get, were super excited.

We also have a new car! A 91 Honda Accord, yes!! And although it's been awesome to hang out at the pool all by myself everyday while Kent goes to work, it's totally tainted because 1. I keep burning and then I can't go out 2. We reeeeally need me to work but I can't exactly do a good job search while I'm stuck up in Sandy. So needless to say, I'm excited to move to Orem in 4 days so I can finally get a job and help provide. I really do hate working, so I hope that it's doing hair. But I never have that luxury it seems.

And we got our contract at our apartments taken over, which stressed us out for a good couple weeks. So hurray for that!

The Best of Roxy and Juno

I unloaded my camera and my goodness I have a lot of pictures of them! Roxy got a pretty new red collar and she had just gotten a bath (with Bedhead's Pethead line, woo! smells like oatmeal cinnamon!) so she's all glammed up. Every morning Juno runs over and snuggles with us. She even snuggled on Keith's lap when he visited, she was the most perfect addition. Of course thanks to Prozac for evening everything out. Chloe stopped peeing and our lives are free! Also the weather is getting warmer and it's SO exciting, my goal is to get tan this summer. I've had 3 summers off and it's my time to be brown!

Juno and her soccer ball again.

Attacking my hand.

I just love this picture, she's like Stich from Lilo and Stich

Kent LOVES his kitty

In the sink. This is a daily occurrence. More than daily.

This whole plastic on the bed idea could be the greatest thing ever to happen for our cats

See what I mean? This is a daily occurrence as well

Roxy in red!

This was mutual, don't worry

Roxy and Juno always help themselves to the toy box

This is what Roxy does when she's allowed to go crazy

This is why Juno's the greatest cat. She crawled up in to my arms, I had nothing to do with this :)

Roxy's obsessed with this corner. It was cute the first time.

Perhaps the sweetest picture I've ever seen

Awwwe!
